Cell Defender™
Micronized & Activated Clinoptilolite Zeolite, Developed With Purpose
Cell Defender™ is Avini Health’s liquid colloidal formula featuring Detoxolite™ — Avini Health’s proprietary process and technology for preparing micronized and activated clinoptilolite zeolite.
It is designed to support the body’s normal detoxification processes.
What makes Cell Defender different is not simply that it contains zeolite.
It is the complete technology and process behind the clinoptilolite — including purification, micronization, activation, formulation, testing, and controlled in-house manufacturing.
The technology was developed by biochemist Rik Deitsch, whose work focused on refining the preparation and performance of clinoptilolite for consistent wellness use.

What Makes Cell Defender™ Different
Understanding Cell Defender™ means looking at each stage of preparation and production.
Keep the remainder of the section unchanged, beginning with
That process includes:
-
carefully selected clinoptilolite zeolite
-
purification of the raw mineral
-
controlled micronization
-
proprietary Detoxolite™ activation technology
-
consistent formulation
-
in-house manufacturing
-
ongoing testing and quality control
-
Each step matters.
The result is a finished zeolite technology developed for consistency, purity, and dependable wellness support — not simply raw mineral material placed into a bottle.

Why Clinoptilolite?
Clinoptilolite is a naturally occurring form of zeolite with a highly porous, cage-like crystalline structure and a natural negative charge.
That structure gives it an affinity for certain positively charged substances.
When evaluating a clinoptilolite zeolite product,
quality can depend on:
-
the type of zeolite
-
where the mineral comes from
-
how it is purified
-
particle size
-
how it is processed
-
how it is activated
-
how it is tested
-
and how consistently it is manufactured
-
That is why the conversation about zeolite should begin with quality and preparation, not simply the ingredient name.

How Clinoptilolite Zeolite Interacts
Charge, Structure and Ion Exchange
Clinoptilolite has a rigid three-dimensional crystalline structure containing pores and interconnected channels.
The framework carries negatively charged sites balanced by exchangeable positively charged ions.
Under appropriate conditions, other positively charged ions can participate in this ion-exchange process.
That basic chemistry—not a vague idea that zeolite somehow “knows what to detox”—is what makes the material scientifically interesting.
The 2021 Cell Defender™ White Paper describes this process as cation exchange, with the interaction influenced by factors including charge, size, and affinity.

Purity Matters
What Is Removed Matters, Too
Zeolite is a mineral that comes from the earth.
Before it becomes part of a wellness product, the raw material must be carefully selected, cleaned, processed, and tested.
Natural does not automatically mean ready for use.
The goal of purification is to remove unwanted materials while preserving the crystalline structure that gives clinoptilolite its distinctive properties.
Cell Defender™ Particle Size and Micronization
Micronization Is Part of the Technology
Cell Defender uses micronized clinoptilolite with a particle size of approximately 0.39–1 micron.
Reducing particle size increases available surface area and helps create a more uniform material for formulation and testing.
It is one part of the complete preparation process that distinguishes Cell Defender.

Clinoptilolite Activation in Cell Defender™
Raw Zeolite Is Only the Beginning
Natural zeolite can already contain minerals and other substances within its microscopic structure.
The Cell Defender technology includes an activation process developed to clean and prepare the clinoptilolite before it becomes part of the finished formula.
Rik Deitsch’s work on Cell Defender focused on both micronization and activation, two processes that remain central to the product’s identity.
The finished product reflects the complete process:
Purification → Micronization → Activation → Formulation → Testing → Manufacturing
What Is Detoxolite™?
Avini Health’s Proprietary Zeolite Technology
Detoxolite™ is Avini Health’s proprietary process and technology for preparing clinoptilolite zeolite.
The process is designed to carefully prepare the clinoptilolite before it becomes part of the finished product.
Detoxolite™ is not simply another name for zeolite. It represents the proprietary preparation technology behind the clinoptilolite used in Cell Defender™.
In Cell Defender, Detoxolite™ is delivered in a liquid colloidal formula designed to support the body’s normal detoxification processes.
Avini Health’s In-House Manufacturing
In-House Manufacturing Creates Greater Control
A carefully developed formulation is only as dependable as the process used to produce it.
Avini Health manufactures its products in-house, giving the company direct control from formulation through finished product.
That provides greater oversight of:
-
raw-material quality
-
purification
-
processing
-
micronization
-
activation
-
formulation
-
batch consistency
-
testing
-
packaging
-
quality control
-
Keeping manufacturing under Avini’s direct control strengthens consistency, traceability, and accountability from one batch to the next.
Quality is controlled throughout the process — not simply checked at the end.
Cell Defender™ Testing and Quality Control
Quality Should Be Verified
For a naturally mined material such as clinoptilolite, purity and consistency should never simply be assumed.
Cell Defender’s processed clinoptilolite has been evaluated using multiple analytical methods to examine the mineral itself, particle size, purity, and potential contaminants.
Reported findings include:
-
more than 96% clinoptilolite in bulk mineral analysis
-
no unexpected organic contaminants detected from manufacturing or bottling in the analyses described
-
particle-size testing showing more than 99% of particles at 0.5 microns or less
-
routine quality controls that include pH, microbial testing, trace-heavy-metal analysis, and bulk-mineral analysis
These details matter because testing provides something marketing language cannot: a way to evaluate whether the finished material reflects the standards established for the formulation.
Quality should not simply be claimed. It should be measured, documented, and verified.
Why Detoxification Support Matters
Modern Life Brings Ongoing Exposure
Every day, we encounter substances through our air, water, food, household products, plastics, pesticides, and the broader environment.
These may include:
-
heavy metals
-
VOCs
-
pesticides
-
microplastics
-
PFAS
-
industrial pollutants
The body already has natural systems designed to process and eliminate what it does not need.
The question is not whether we can avoid every exposure.
We cannot.
A more practical approach is to reduce unnecessary exposure where we can while supporting the body's normal systems for processing and elimination.
What Cell Defender Is Designed to Do
Support the Body’s Natural Detoxification Processes
Cell Defender is designed to support normal detoxification and elimination processes.
Avini's current product information also identifies heavy metals and certain environmental compounds among the substances examined in connection with its clinoptilolite formulation.
Cell Defender does not replace the body's own detoxification systems.
It is one tool intended to support them.
And it does not replace the foundations of wellness:
nutrition, hydration, movement, sleep, stress management, and appropriate healthcare still matter.

Cell Defender™ Research and Evidences
Look Beyond the Marketing
Avini maintains a scientific research library that includes research relating to Cell Defender, activated clinoptilolite, clinoptilolite safety, urinary excretion, and heavy-metal removal.
We believe you should have the opportunity to look more closely at the evidence rather than simply being told what to believe.
Ask:
What has been studied?
How was the material prepared?
What did researchers observe?
What are the limitations?
And what does the research actually support?

Human Research on Activated Clinoptilolite
Increased Urinary Excretion of Heavy Metals
One of the most useful pieces of evidence for this page is the human study of an activated clinoptilolite suspension published in Nutrition and Dietary Supplements.
The study included 33 men divided between two treatment groups and a placebo control. Participants receiving the activated clinoptilolite suspension were evaluated for seven or 30 days.
Researchers reported significantly increased urinary excretion of several measured heavy metals compared with placebo, with peak excretion occurring around day four. No clinically significant changes in measured serum electrolytes were reported during either the seven-day or 30-day study period.

Research Beyond One Study
A Growing Body of Clinoptilolite Research
Scientific research on clinoptilolite extends well beyond one Cell Defender study.
A 2018 review published in Frontiers in Pharmacology examined the safety and potential biological applications of clinoptilolite materials and discussed detoxification, antioxidant effects, immune response, and other areas of investigation.
The authors also emphasized that different clinoptilolite materials may have different properties and that human clinical research remained limited in several areas.
That distinction is important.
We should not take findings from every zeolite study and automatically attribute them to Cell Defender.
When reviewing the evidence, distinguish research on clinoptilolite generally from research on a specific activated clinoptilolite preparation.

Cell Defender™ and Plus Glutathione: Different Purposes
Two Different Areas of Support
Cell Defender and Plus Glutathione should not look like competing versions of the same solution.
Cell Defender and Plus Glutathione are both featured on The Best Zeolite, but they are not designed to do the same thing. Understanding that difference matters.
Cell Defender™
Focuses on clinoptilolite zeolite and support for the body's normal detoxification processes.
The primary conversation is:
environmental load + zeolite + detoxification support
Plus Glutathione
Focuses on glutathione, antioxidant support, and cellular wellness.
The primary conversation is:
oxidative stress + antioxidant defense + cellular support

Cell Defender Is Part of a Bigger Wellness Picture
Supporting the Body—Not Replacing It
The body already uses the liver, kidneys, digestive system, lungs, skin, and other pathways to process and eliminate unwanted material.
Foundational support still matters:
-
good hydration
-
healthy digestion
-
regular elimination
-
nutrient-dense food
-
movement
-
restorative sleep
-
reducing unnecessary environmental exposure
Cell Defender gives people another tool to explore within that larger strategy.
Reduce unnecessary burden.
Support normal function.
Use targeted tools thoughtfully.
Who May Want to Explore Cell Defender?
A Foundational Detoxification Path
Cell Defender may be a logical place to explore if your primary question is:
How can I become more intentional about environmental load and detoxification support?
It does not mean Cell Defender is automatically the right starting point for everyone.
If your greater interest is oxidative stress and antioxidant support, Plus Glutathione may be the more relevant conversation.
If you prefer a more structured wellness program, CleanStart90 may be worth exploring.

Rik Deitsch and the Development of Cell Defender™
From a Mineral to a Formulation
Cell Defender is closely tied to Rik’s development work.
Avini’s historical materials describe his effort to address two primary issues he identified in earlier zeolite preparations:
particle size
and
the condition of naturally mined zeolite before use.
That work led to the micronization and activation processes used in the product.
Avini's Detoxolite history says those processes were first developed for its commercial zeolite formulation in the early 2000s and have continued to evolve.

Understand First. Decide Second.
Before choosing a wellness product, you should be able to ask:
What is it?
Where does it come from?
How is it purified?
How is it processed?
What does micronization mean?
What does activation mean?
How is it manufactured?
What testing is performed?
What does the research show?
What is it actually designed to support?
You do not need to become a scientist.
But you deserve enough information to make an informed decision.
